We came across a press release for BruxRelief, a device to treat Bruxism disorder, also known as teeth grinding. The device is intended to “attach behind the users ear using a medical grade reusable adhesive gel”. If the user starts grinding, the device senses it and sends a signal to the subconscious to stop the behavior without waking the user.
It will be interesting to watch development of this device which is currently running a Kickstarter campaign. Please note that we do not have any connection to this and are not invested in the campaign. We found it interesting since as many as 10% of people have Bruxism. Any safe treatment for teeth grinding is worth exploring.
