Do you pack a lunch for your child? If so, there are some steps you can follow to pack a lunch that’s teeth-friendly.
- Use wholegrain instead of white bread to cut down on sugar.
- Include crunchy snacks, like celery or carrots, that act like a toothbrush.
- Add some dairy. The protein in calcium from cheese or natural yogurt strengthens enamel.
- Pack a water bottle. Many kids prefer sugary drinks, which you know are not good for teeth. Water washes away excess acids after they finish lunch.
And we know everyone is busy, making it difficult some mornings to pack a lunch. We’re big fans of packing small portions on a Sunday afternoon to make weekday mornings a little less hectic.
